Isomalt

Isomalt is a sugar-derived ingredient used in cosmetics mainly as a humectant and texture helper. It’s made from plant-based sugars and is valued for its ability to bind water, help formulas feel smoother, and support a more comfortable, less dry-feeling finish. In skincare, you’ll often find it in moisturizers, serums, masks, and lip products; in hair care, it can help improve slip and reduce the rough, brittle feel that comes with dryness.
