Trideceth-10 is a synthetic ingredient from the “ethoxylated alcohol” family, most often used as a surfactant, solubilizer, and emulsifier in cosmetics. In plain terms, it helps oil and water mix, which can improve the texture and stability of cleansers, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and makeup removers. It can also help spread ingredients more evenly across skin or hair, giving formulas a smoother, more consistent feel.
For skin and hair, Trideceth-10 is mainly a behind-the-scenes helper rather than a star active. In cleansing products, it can support better removal of oils, sunscreen, and makeup.
