Folic Acid is the synthetic, stable form of vitamin B9, a water-soluble vitamin best known for its role in healthy cell growth and renewal. In skincare and haircare, it’s used more for its supportive, conditioning role than as a dramatic active. Because folic acid is involved in normal cell turnover, it’s often included in formulas aimed at keeping skin looking fresh and helping hair and scalp care products feel more nurturing.
