Описание
CI 16035 is a synthetic colorant, also known as Red 40 or Allura Red AC. In cosmetics, it’s used to give products a bright red to pink-red shade and to keep that color looking consistent from batch to batch. You’ll commonly find it in lip products, blushes, shampoos, body washes, bath products, and some skincare formulas where a vivid tint is part of the appeal.
CI 16035 doesn’t provide a skincare treatment benefit on its own, but it can improve the look and feel of a formula by making it more visually appealing and helping brands create recognizable shades. People who enjoy colorful makeup or fragranced personal-care products may encounter it often. It’s generally used in very small amounts, but if you have especially sensitive skin or know you react to certain dyes, it may be worth checking the ingredient list carefully.
Caveat: as with any color additive, the main concern is not “benefit” but compatibility. Some users prefer to avoid synthetic dyes because of personal preference or sensitivity concerns. If a product causes irritation, the full formula matters more than the colorant alone.
