Euphorbia Cerifera Cera is candelilla wax, a plant-derived wax made from the leaves of the candelilla shrub. In cosmetics, it’s mainly used as a texture and structure ingredient: it helps thicken formulas, gives balms and sticks their solid shape, and adds a smooth, protective feel on the skin. Because it forms a light occlusive layer, it can help reduce moisture loss and make products feel more conditioning without a heavy greasy finish.
