coco-glucoside is the product obtained by the condensation of coconut alcohol with glucose.

Descrizione

Coco-Glucoside is a plant-derived cleansing ingredient made from coconut or palm kernel oil and glucose. It belongs to the family of non-ionic surfactants, which means it helps water mix with oil and dirt so they can be rinsed away. In formulas, it is valued for creating a gentle but effective cleanse with moderate to high foam that tends to feel soft rather than stripping.

On skin, Coco-Glucoside is commonly used in face washes, body cleansers, and micellar-style products because it helps remove sweat, excess oil, sunscreen, and everyday buildup while being milder than many stronger detergents. In hair care, it can help lift away sebum and styling residue without making shampoos feel too harsh. It is often a good fit for people who prefer sulfate-free formulas or who like a more cushioned, less squeaky-clean finish.

Caveat: “Mild” does not mean irritation-free for everyone. Very sensitive skin can still react to any cleansing ingredient, especially in products with fragrance or frequent use. Coco-Glucoside is also mainly a cleanser and foam booster, not a moisturizer, so pairing it with a well-formulated hydrating routine can help keep skin and hair feeling comfortable.
