Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate is a synthetic emollient ester made by combining cetearyl alcohol with ethylhexanoic acid. In skincare and haircare, it’s used mainly to add slip, softness, and a lightweight, silky feel. It spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and helps formulas feel less greasy or heavy than richer oils.
