Charcoal Powder is a fine, black powder made from carbon-rich materials that have been heated to create a highly porous structure. It doesn’t “detox” the body, but it can help products feel more clarifying and leave skin or hair looking fresher and less greasy.
For skin, charcoal powder is often a good fit for people with oily, combination, or congestion-prone skin who want a deeper-clean feeling without a heavy formula. On hair and scalp, it may help absorb excess oil and product buildup, especially in shampoos or scalp treatments. That said, charcoal can be a bit much for dry or sensitive skin if used too often, since clarifying formulas may feel stripping. It’s best thought of as a useful support ingredient, not a miracle fix.
