Our urea is a 10% in concentration to enhance skin barrier function. Urea, as known as carbamide, is a component of natural moisturizing factor (nmf) produced by the skin. Its a well known ingredient in dermatology for its keratolytic and hydrating feature, i.E. Urea can gently exfoliate and moisturizing skin. But what we like the most about urea is it proven ability to enhance skin barrier function by regulating epidermal gene expression, reduce transepidermal water loss (tewl) and hence maintain a healthy skin.
