Ribes Nigrum Seed Oil is blackcurrant seed oil, a plant oil pressed from the seeds of blackcurrant berries. It’s valued in skincare for its rich mix of fatty acids, especially gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and alpha-linolenic acid, which help support the skin’s moisture barrier and keep skin feeling soft and comfortable. Because it’s a lightweight oil, it can add a smooth, nourishing finish without feeling overly heavy on many skin types.
For skin, this ingredient is often used in products aimed at dryness, rough texture, or a depleted-feeling barrier. It may help reduce the look of flakiness and improve suppleness over time.
