Punica Granatum Extract is an extract from pomegranate fruit, peel, seeds, or juice, depending on how it’s made. In skincare, it’s valued for its naturally occurring polyphenols, tannins, and other plant compounds that help protect formulas and support the skin’s appearance. You’ll often see it in products marketed for antioxidant support, brightening, or a more refreshed look.
For skin, pomegranate extract is mainly used to help defend against everyday environmental stress and to give a complexion a smoother, more radiant feel. It can be a nice fit for dull, tired-looking, or mature skin, and it’s also common in hydrating or antioxidant-focused products.
